| Generally expressed as a percentage of the Office Stock area, this is the total floor area available for leasing at any given time, regardless of whether it is still under a legitimate Lease. |

| Accelerated Depreciation |
| A method for "writing off" the cost of a Capital Asset by making the largest deductions in the early years of the asset's life and then reducing the depreciation rate in the later stages. Generally, one would make use of accelerated depreciation for tax purposes, because the depreciation in the value of Assets may be used as a tax deduction. |

| Office Take-up |
| Office take-up signifies a change in Office Demand. If office take-up is positive, there is a growth in the office demand and if office take-up is negative, there is a reduction in office demand. |

| The Owner of a business, including income-producing real estate. |

| Domicilium citandi et executandi |
| A term mainly used in agreements and often referred to as simply domicilium or domicile. This means the physical address for delivery of service, documents and summons. The selection of a domicilium is important, as documents and notices served on this address will be regarded as been received, even if one did not do so. |

| Timeshare |
| A property development, generally used for holiday accommodation, where occupancy time is sold and for which banks do not grant loans. The Timeshare Institute of Southern Africa (TISA) is the body that governs the timeshare, holiday club, vacation sharing industry. |

| Decentralised |
| Removed from a place of high concentration. Representing commercial areas around a big city which was created as a result of growth of the city, and businesses and residents moving away towards the suburbs. |
